Back in February I blogged on my initial thoughts on a Green Lantern film.Well, they got a director, Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, GoldenEye) - now they have their Hal Jordan. Ryan Reynolds, most recently in the comedy The Proposal and X-Men Origins: Wolverine (and will be in the follow up film, Deadpool), has been cast as the Silver Age hero.
While I trust Martin Campbell, I would have rather seen Bradley Cooper in the role.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think from initial appearances alone and the choices that were rumored up just prior to this announcement, Cooper would have made a stronger Hal Jordan.
ReplyDeleteSo long as they keep Reynold's snark to a minimum, I think they can do it. Reynold's "humorous" attitude is better suited for The Flash.
